No, the "he made me cum twice" line from Sadie almost made him cry. He was just shocked at the butter line. The "butter" line did produce a good look though.

It was gut-wrenching to see the looks from Ronnie, Shane and Vic when Lem spoke with confidence that any one of them would "take the hit" too if they were in his shoes. I found myself laughing bitterly because I don't believe for a goddamn second they would. MAYbe Vic... but I think even he'd save his own ass over theirs...for his kids' sake, of course.
Poor Lem!! I watched this ep then switched over to SpikeTV to watch the marathon. Becca's words are ringing in my ears when she tells Vic in the alley "Lem is lucky to have a friend like you" GGGGGOOOOODDDD! Vic has done nothing since the beginning but exploit Lem's trusting nature, his complete lack of guile, and his love for the Team, his brothers. Vic got Lem into this mess. Now Lem's life has been ruined!!!
Actually, I dont quite think this is the case. First of all, both Vic and Shane have proven in the past that they're willing to take the hit. Vic was willing to go to jail in season 2 so Ronnie wouldnt have to recant on his statement about Armadillo burning him and Shane was willing to kill Antwon the that the rest of the team wouldnt have to get dragged into the mess. Secondly, I dont think Vic has used Lem at any point in the season. He is genuinely concerned for his friend's safety and is going to great lengths to try and help him out. Besides, lets not forget the simple fact that Lem doesnt have anything on Vic. He's got nothing concrete to give up to IAD, even if he wanted to. So, Who's the one putting him in an impossible position? Who's the one who's putting him in jail? Who's the one making a deal with Antwon and endangering Lem's life? Yup, its Kavanaugh! That's your real villain, folks. Cheers, CVD

Wow, what an episode, A+ from me, I can't wait for next week's. At one point I actually started feeling sorry for Kavanaugh, after Vic delivers his "butter" line and Kav goes to see his ex-wife, even when he goes to see Lem, shake his hand and say goodbye, but then finding out about the DoC investigation he initiated against Antwon which would get Lem killed in prison, pffff I hope Kav gets his comeuppance in a big way.

I don't think Vic, Shane or Ronnie would "take the hit" if any of them were in Lem's shoes. As previously stated by my loving mother, I will go to great lengths to defend one Mr. Vic Mackey. 1. Vic never forced Shane, Ronnie or Lem to do anything against their will. They all have a mouth and the free will to go their own way. (Spoken like a person in true denial!!) 2. When the Strike Team reunited last season, did anyone (especially Lem) actually think they would walk the straight and narrow? They aren't exactly known for helping little old ladies across the street. 3. Shane absolutely cannot go to jail. Can you get that forehead in a prison cell? What about teeth whitener? 4. Lem's biggest problem is his conscience. I hate the see the Strike Team bust up, but Lem's gotta go. Goodbye, fair lad; I hardly knew ye. Good luck on the goat ranch. Since my mom has threatened to get me kicked off if I say anything negative about Lem, this will probably be my last post. Goodnight, moon.

Amber dear, I'm sorry but I'm gonna have to side with your mom about Lem. Mom, I'm sure one of the moderators can help with deleting your daughters account here! If Lem survives the season finale, I think that he would be able to add some good stuff to future storylines, and I'm not just talking about nudity, either. ;D I could see him having conflicts with Vic about how to do things. That's my suggestion for Shawn Ryan to make us hate Vic, after all, what he's done so far hasn't worked. I loved that 'sweet butter' line. Vic is just too cool. I'm giving this ep an A+!

Oh my sweet, loving daughter: you certainly have the right to your opinion, as you know opinions are like a**holes and everyone's got one.
What a compliment you have given me by your acknowledgement that I could get you kicked off this board. I would not dream of such a thing!
You really must accept that Vic will have to pay for at least some of the things he has done. You won't be able to move on with your life until you do.
Lem's biggest problem is not his conscience, if you yourself were to have one, would it be a problem? No, his problem was his loyalty to Vic.
By the way, aren't you at work? I thought so.
Ta-Ta for now!

Yes, Mother, I am at "work"...as you know I do not have a real job because I am too lazy to work and too scared to steal.
Apparently I am not the only one in denial, right mom? I guess Lem was too busy walking on water to take that heroin last season, huh? That's not Vic's bald head shining, that's his halo!!

A+ episode all the way! it definently sets us up for what could be a great season finale.
When Vic went to Kav's house, I totally saw what was coming next. I didn't expect Sadie to provoke it though.
The execution of Kern took me by surprise. I didn't see that coming and was a little disappointed since Kern was one of my favorite characters. The prolonged death scene of Kern was great although a tad disturbing (but hey, he was a scumbag so perhaps he got what was coming).
I didn't expect to see wyms promoted like that and was quite surprised (Way to go Claudette!). I was even more taken aback by Kav busting in and making his speech about Vic, very good stuff.
Lastly, the ending music montage of Lem fleeing was very good and powerful. One minor quibble that I have with this though was that I would think that the judges would have seen Lem as a possible flight risk and would have taken the necessary legal steps to ensure that he didn't flee the country before he was supposed to be brought to court and processed. i'm willing to drop it though on the basis it creates a good story line for the finale and part 2 of the season.
Can't wait till next week.

Vic's "sweet butter" line actually disturbed me.... I mean, eating out some bitch you know has a history of pleasuring herself with a dirty beer bottle out of a dumpster isn't the smartest thing you could do. Just my opinion....

That was totally awesome!!!!!!!
Sweet butter is now my favorite line of all time! I knew he was doing that to throw out at Kav...but I didn't think that he would use it so soon.
Just when you think things are going to work out for them there is a another curve ball thrown at them...but I guess if you wrap it up now there wouldn't be much of a reason to watch the second half of the season huh?
I can't wait until next week...90 minutes, I do hope that it can live up to the expectation that this episode set....and I do hope that Corine doesn't fall for Kav coming over and trying to get back at Vic...but the preview did show -spoiler removed by E -
Discussion of the previews should go in the Snitches board. Thanks.

Hon... it was just a means of giving Kavedinnuts the message... I banged your wife! What could be more insulting than telling a man you ate out the woman he still loves?? I don't believe for a second that Vic would put his mouth on strange pussy.
Of course, these are wise precautionary words from our resident whore-monger!

Yeah, Vic probably just said that. Plus, she used some generic looking green bottle; it could have been "Nature's Own Organic Gooseberry Juice", you never know. I loved this ep, too, but scene between Becca and Vic still bothers me--I agree with E, it wreaked soap opera.

Something I haven't seen anyone else discuss is Sadie's complete change in character from last week. Last week I thought Kav was gonna try to have her recommitted because of her false report of a crime (what happened with that? he said he couldn't make it go away)? She looked a total mess last week, blathering, lost, weak and pathetic. Then this week she was cold, calculating, in control, strong ... not to mention horny. So what ailment does she have? Be careful if you answer this, you might get tagged with "takes one to know one", heh.
I haven't voted on this ep yet but I'm considering playing devil's advocate and giving it a B+. I was awed by all the fantastic lines like everyone else. But there were also several disconnects or little nagging things: the above thing with Sadie, and (as others pointed out) not staking out Lem to make sure he doesn't waltz out of town, going from sketch to suspect in the glory hole case with nothing in between, Julien doing an interrogation (when did HE get promoted and didn't HE rip Tina's ass for asking a perfectly normal question early in the season?), the Vic-Becca kiss, the Jon/Lem handshake (he was puking up blood because of this guy for chrissakes), the theory that it would be a sign of weakness for Kern to get taken out in the hood and give the niners street cred for him to get killed during an op (I was thinking just the opposite) ... okay, maybe I just have this desire to go against the grain when I see everyone else in agreement.

I liked Vic and Becca kissing. I think Vic's finally falling in love, and after 4 seasons I can definitely believe it. It's sort of a sudden change, but I can see it.

Whenever Vic gets stressed out and a pretty woman is nearby, he dives into pussy for comfort and relief. As ok as I was about the scene, I can't see him falling in love with Becca. She's too boring! She's worse than Corrine. We'd better see some hot ass sex scenes between those two or no one's gonna buy more than the kiss.
Ahem, I would like to call attention at this time to my
#yahoo# 1,000th post!!! #yahoo#
Darn that E, though. She appeared on TSR a fair amount of time after Chem, Kyoteh and I started it and she's ahead of me now! Well, she *is* keeping us all informed about the eps and the actors--valuable information--and other cool things like the sidewalk art. I doubt I'll ever catch up!! She's truly a first class Vic Enabler! #surrender# #surrender# #surrender#

Something I haven't seen anyone else discuss is Sadie's complete change in character from last week. Dude -- let me tell you from experience. Crazy women = bipolar. Loony one minute, calm & confident the next. When I saw that change, it was no surprise.
