Very good epsiode. I liked it alot. The writers really can come up with some pretty sick shit, as if getting your dick trapped in a rat trap wasnt enought, they had to put teeth onto it so it lopped it right off. I think Claudett will do good at captain, may mean some troble for Vic if he gets past his problem now. I think Claudette did help his case by telling Phillips about how everyone was scared because of Kav being in the Barn. Favorite scene had to be either the ware house or Kav talking with the chief about Lems deal. Couple questions thought..
What happen to the black chief from season 2 and 3?
Why was Kern being such a jerkoff when he was talking to Mackey last time, because didnt last time they had some interaction Vic was saving his ass from being hauled off to jail when he was buying the MP5s, sure he didnt get the guns and proboly lost some money, but he didnt go to jail.
Antwon is one slick ass dude, I didnt see that coming, i thought he was jsut going to have mackey kill him or something, not a whole elaborate plan of breaking into a warehouse for and empty safe, just to have his guys kill him.
The scene with Lem crying then Kav comming to the door was good too, LEm has one weak stomach thought, always hacking up blood. i wonder where Vic and Lem drove to at the end, i guess well see next week.....90 minutes, I cant wait, The amazing race started a couple of weeks ago and it is at 10 so ive been watching the 11 Shield, but next week im going to half to skip it so i can watch the 10 Shield. 6 more days..wont go fast enought.

Check the music thread (ep#s & titles) in The Barn for lyrics; the song is called "Disarm."

This was the best pre-finale episode of almost any show. For the first time, I'd actually be surprised if the finale could beat this.

This could have been one of the best shield episodes ever. I have no clue as to who the pops is for Dannys baby. I think it is Vic but for some reason I think it might be somone else, becasue the storyline has always suprised me no matter what.

I agree, guys; a really great episode! You know... this was the first Shield that ever made me cry... I think the Smashing Pumpkins song had a lot to do with it.

This episode was packed! I couldn't help but watch it @ 10pm and then again @ 11pm. If they extended the hugging anymore at the end, I would have shed a couple tears. Sniffle. I'm finding myself only interested in the Strike Team drama. The other storylines are good, but I'm a Strike Team groupie Given, it's partly because of superficial reasons (Ronnie and Lem = hot!), but I've always just preferred to watch them... I think The "Watercooler" wrapped up the episode in the best PC, PG-14 way: Source: www.tvguide.com/tv/watercooler/"I'm trying to think of any one episode of any one show that's ever been more difficult to write about in detail on a family site, and I don't think I can come up with one. Nope, not one. So let's try baby talk: Lem does a whoops in front of Kavanaugh, Vic goes to see Kavanaugh's ex and they end up being very nice to one another, Claudette and Dutch zero in on a suspect in that ouchie-bad-place happy-circle case, Claudette accuses Dutch of liking Tina a lot, Vic and his boys are mad and sad after their huggy-friend with Antwon goes very wrong in the warehouse, Claudette and Dutch's witness play baseball with his wife, Vic tells Kavanaugh his ex has very good taste, Kavanaugh's ex tells him what a swell time she had with Vic, Kavanaugh gets very angry at his chief, Claudette makes captain, Vic and Antwon yell at each other, everyone gets angry at everyone else, Vic kisses Becca, and then Vic drives Lem to Mexico so Lem doesn't have to go to jail with mean Antwon." hah

Kern was upset with Mackey because He had promised him protection from cops and other gangs so he could get back into the drug dealing racket. Mackey only told him that so kern would help with an investigation. Then after receiving that help he told Kern NO DEAL. Said he would make it up to him in a different way, but the ST was out of dealing with drugs.

just a great ep - one of the best (even considering I think Smashing Bumpkins suck beyond belief) here's a pretty funny recap of the ep from TV Guide: www.tvguide.com/tv/watercooler/edit: hey, I Adore Ronnie - I broke my own rule of reading through the whole thread before posting so I apologize for reposting your link

Great episode....A for me. Also, to anyone who still simply see Kavanaugh as a hateful sleazeball, I refer to the scene near the end between Kavanaugh and Lem. That scene was simply perfect. For the first time while around Lem, Kavanaugh dropped his entire act of trying to manipulate him, and said with complete honesty that he never wanted to put him in jail. Kav wasn't just looking for another notch on his belt from putting someone in jail; he genuinely wanted Mackey off the street.

It was gut-wrenching to see the looks from Ronnie, Shane and Vic when Lem spoke with confidence that any one of them would "take the hit" too if they were in his shoes. I found myself laughing bitterly because I don't believe for a goddamn second they would. MAYbe Vic... but I think even he'd save his own ass over theirs...for his kids' sake, of course.
Poor Lem!! I watched this ep then switched over to SpikeTV to watch the marathon. Becca's words are ringing in my ears when she tells Vic in the alley "Lem is lucky to have a friend like you" GGGGGOOOOODDDD! Vic has done nothing since the beginning but exploit Lem's trusting nature, his complete lack of guile, and his love for the Team, his brothers. Vic got Lem into this mess. Now Lem's life has been ruined!!!
If this is how Shawn Ryan planned to make me dislike Vic this season, it f-ing worked!!
However, you can't help but respect the sacrifice of a guy who gets laid twice in one day... just to save a buddy...
I hope like hell this isn't what happened in Season 3...FANTASTIC pre-finale ep... finale, a letdown and would have been better left OFF. Season 4...a finale snoozer. I sure hope they get it right this year!
PS. CC <--- two words: sweet butter!

However, you can't help but respect the sacrifice of a guy who gets laid twice in one day... just to save a buddy...( I had the opposite reaction; I think the guys would all come through for each other... even Shane. He was seriously broken up about Lem in this episode. Maybe I'm being naive, but those guys just seemed WAY tighter tonight than I've seen them in a while. Or maybe I'm just one of those "Vic Enablers" that SR spoke of.... Well, there's really no 'maybe' about it.... I can't dislike Vic. I can see that he's a criminal, and I expect him to get some kind of just desserts in the end, but I just love him.

Wooaoaoaoaoao... haven't been this stunned since the end of dominoes falling. Holy shit. Like the teacher in a Christmas Story, A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++. Damn damn damn.
Only thing... I don't think Antwon is a very effective villain. He's sort of 3-dimensional, but not too believable.

Kav wasn't just looking for another notch on his belt from putting someone in jail; he genuinely wanted Mackey off the street. His offer to shake Lem's hand looked so geniune. Kavanaugh truly seemed sincere when he said any man would be lucky to have Lem in his corner. On the other hand, Kav must be partially broken from reality to think that Lem would even take such a sincere gesture for what it was. It's a testament to Lem's humanity that he shook his hand. Complex writing and performances like this give me wood.
