ah, here's some good trivia - the guy who played the head of the other precinct's squad (Paul Ben-Victor) played Moe Howard in the same Three Stooges movie where Chiklis played Curly Howard I kinda thought he had this look in his eye, you know the one where he feels like smacking Vic in the face with a frying pan.

After the largely lackluster Rap Payback, 5x07 Man Inside works much better, and gets us to some good places. I give this episode a strong B+.
The citywide task force, led by Reyes, was first mentioned in 4x01 The Cure. That they bring that back after as season and a half is amazing and great continuity. Vic's sorrowful, pathetic attempt to save face with Reyes, telling him that he and his boys are happy where they are, is one of the most painful portels into Vic ever. It recalls Vic's pitiful pleading with David in 3x12 Riceburner for O.T. after his guys vetoed his idea of dipping into the Money Train cash to pay for Meagan's autism treatment. The guy is devastated and Chiklis plays it perfectly.
Claudette really gets to shine in this episode the most, however, and her interrogation of Kleavon, with Dutch's assistance, is the best stuff she's had to do since, I'd say, her attempt to run the Strike Team and Decoy Squad in Season 3. eddiekaay points out that Jay Karnes' speech as Dutch to Claudette is almost too much like basic acting school is kind of valid, I suppose, but on the other hand... I completely, irrefutably bought it. Dutch's speech seems exactly like what he would say to Claudette, and Claudette's reaction is perfectly realized.
The David-goes-to-Lem scene is also killer, as he tries to suddenly squash Jon's pursuit before it goes beyond Lem and gets him as well.
Ronnie's points about Becca representing all four of them are all correct.
I agree with eddiekaay that at this point the Kavanaugh storyline, in which he summons one person up after another, was getting somewhat tedious and repetitive. It's a dense storyline but it gets sort of stuck here. It remains stuck, honestly, until Lem is arrested in 5x08 but when it gets unstuck it really gets unstuck, haha.
The wrapping up of Kleavon, who gets both arrested and in his own sick way the last laugh is just fantastic, however and really steals the show from everything else.

so I was re-watching Season 4 (for maybe the 1,000th time?) and I realized something that probably was caught by most fans.... but as I often admit, I'm a tad bit slow sometimes lol
Paul Reyes is the guy who got the job Vic put in for in the 1st episode of S4! Pretty interesting now that I think about it that he was interested in bringing Vic and the team on board?

Yep, Strike Team 4 Life, as I mentioned in my little summation of the episode, I was always thrilled by this amazing continuity when I caught it (which was nearly immediate).
Reyes is again mentioned in 6x02 when Vic needs to find the current captain of the Byz Lats.
