Welcome to LA EK! With all the CA members, I'm thinking a S5 premier party at someone's house is in order!! I've got a 65" TV and a house to host it at if anyone's interested! well now if the premiere corresponds with one of my trips down south that might make for a fun escape! There does seem to be quite a few cali members here now that you mention it.....

yeah, a premiere party is definately something we should check into, especially if this might be the last season - thanks for offering up a location, Xanthais - we should revisit this topic as the season start draws near

Electro--I totally agree but I wasn't going to be the first to say it. I am not into bad-mouthing other sites and how they operate, as there's enough of that shit on the FX site about *us*, BUT I think Nancy showed complete contempt for her members by her action.
Toward the end she was getting very bitchy with people, including important guests who stopped in, and even stooped to mocking people's English. She was no less than abusive at times. I think it was way time for her to retire the site... but she could have let people know what was going to happen.
Anyway, I hope she's moved on to other projects that make her feel enthusiastic again.
Thank God for the Rap or I should say, thank Chemikalman and his staff! He'll never stomp on your beliefs, laugh at your English, or mock your opinions. If you ask me, the Rap is exactly what a fan site should be--in that regard, I think the Rap stands alone among Shield sites.

Man, I wish I still lived in SoCal--that would be a blast! And it would be great to get together to watch the DVDs, too ... have a Shield marathon! I watch the show alone, so when CC and I got together this past July 4th in KC we realized how much fun it was watching with someone else! Can you imagine watching a whole season's worth in a group? -- what a party that would be!

What bugged me was that there was no 'site closed' sign ont he homepage when it went down
There were those links to buy dvds, the ones that make sites money and a video and before that there was some acii art, So I thought maybe it was down for reconstruction or something
I've found other sources for spoilers now so it's all good ;D

I use to post on the TSF before it simply shut down under the name "Brandon" it was pretty much the only TSF site I could fine. I happy I found this one though because there isn't that many places to discuss this great show.

Howdy Everyone-- I was a longtime member on TSF but rarely posted; didn't really have a computer of my own so I read the forums rather than taking time to reply to them...anyway now I do and I'm excited to be a part of this community. I see all the familiar faces from TSF and am glad to be amongst family.

Hello everyone, I doubt very many of you from TSF knows me but I too was a former member of TSF. I usually only posted during the on season and would usually interact in the episode threads. I also went under a couple name changes while there so it made it kind of hard for me to keep up a regular profile there.
I too was surprised by the closing of TSF and how it was done. I wasn't a forum regular there so I'm not as aware of the dictatorship style and rudeness that many of you talk about. I'm peeved though like many of you about how she just shut it down without notice, it was her perrogative but she should have realized that she had built a community. The interesting thing is that her Nip/Tuck website appears to still be running.
So far I'm really happy with TSR though and plan on becoming a regular here, I've ben a fan of this show since the pilot episode so I'm always eager to discuss it and other topics. FX's board unfortunately sucks, so it is good that someone was able to create a community like this. Look forward to chatting it up with ya'll.

Hey Keith! Congrats to you and to us... you are The Rap's 200th member!! I remember the early days here, like back in March, when we thought 30 members was big! heh heh We've grown by leaps & bounds in the last two-three months. Many of the former TSFers have shown up here and we are delighted to be of service to them. It's all about The Shield!!
You won't find sloppy or self-centered administration on The Rap. Our Admin is a free spirit and believes the Rap should operate under democratic principles. We have a staff of dedicated people (the notorious Queen Bitches, of which I am one!) and we vote on everything. We also ask for members to make recommendations. SO unlike TSF!
I create the contests and I like to set them as polls so *our members* pick the winners--unless it's a trivia contest, then I do the grading for correct answers. We also welcome everyone to play, even our international fans. All of these things set us very far apart from the now defunct TSF. ;D
In short, Keith, I think you will like what you see and you'll enjoy being a member.
Read, post & enjoy!!

hello, i use to post over at the tsf board, (i found this through shield talk yahoo group), i recently read nancy's reason for shutting the tsf site down, or her other site (niptuckfans), and personally, if she ever puts it back up, which i doubt, by what she said in a forum response, i don't know if i would go back. since i was only their a short time, and it took me forever to join since i kept missing the times and dates that you could join, which i didn't agree with but that is beside the point, oh you can find her reasons here: niptuckfans.com/forum/show.php?f=7&topic=20051024101632&u=7 i think she just being selfish, who cares if she doesn't like the show anymore. besides the message boards, i thought the tsf site sucked, i wasn't impressed at all with the layout or anything. ps. i am using the same username that i used of the shield fans forum.

Thanks for the link.
I guess it's better to shut down than to bad mouth the show left, right, from behind, and then shout down anyone that doesn't agree.
Would have been nice to have some warning, but 'my site my rules' was the only rule so *shrugs*

I'm asking for volunteers: those of you who were on TSF under a DIFFERENT screen name, will you reveal who you were at TSF?
I was a top five poster while I was there, from around Jan. or Feb., 2004 to Nov. 2004, so am curious to see who is from there and is using a different s/n here.
If you would rather not, that's cool.
I would NEVER just close this board on my own for no reason or without warning.
You can expect a posting about spoilers later today ... in the "snitches" board.

......those of you who were on TSF under a DIFFERENT screen name, will you reveal who you were at TSF? Surprise!! First I was vikchik, then toward the end, I was posting as gr00vyl0ve. For those of you who remember what happened, let me tell you this; VicChick (now CHIKchick or CC) and I have put the sordid past behind us and have become very good friends. To be clear, and for the record, I'm quite sorry for my part in what happened.... CC, you know I love you, babe!! I thought I'd just live the rest of my online life as E and never reveal the vikchik within, but chemikalman's request to cough up our tsf screennames inspired me to come clean on the board! And since we're confessing old screennames, I used to post at the fx board and at IMDb.com as skatebetty. Now I just use E or Escutcheon everywhere...

Hey all! Yes, I am the former "VicChick" from TSF. Here's the best part of that story!! E came on after Chemikalman and I started setting up The Rap. Ky was doing the graphics, etc.
E and I became friends at the same time she and Chemikalman were becoming friends. Those two figured out "E" was the "vikchik" I had been fighting with (viciously, I might add!!) in my last days on TSF. They were afraid to tell me (gee, I can't imagine why!!) because they thought I'd go ballistic.
Finally, I figured it out on my own and, yes, I lost my cool... at first. But Miss E is so sweet and kind and just totally engaging in friendship that I couldn't stay mad at her.
So...all of my bad memories, my wounds, and the hurt caused by the TSF Admin's betrayal was healed by this experience. How cool is that??
And for my sister bitch, E, a big thanks and a

I think you were completely wronged in that situation and I just want to make up for it. As soon as you were gone, she stopped being the friend I thought she had become. In the end, you and I both got a sharp knife in the back; all for her own entertainment, I guess.....
And then she knifed the whole tsf community in the back by shutting down so abruptly, IMO.

Nancy put up the forums with a half-ass explanation for why she shut down the site. You can check it out here: theshieldfans.com/forum/
