I used to have a friend that was blind. How would you define a color to a blind person? How do you tell them what blue is?

I used to have a friend that was blind. How would you define a color to a blind person? How do you tell them what blue is? Have them touch something cold. That's blue. Something icy...that is light blue or white. Pink is something warm. Red is something hot. Etc. It's about as close as you can get, I think, for them.

Right on, I hoped this would be brain teasing. Red could be passion, lust, orange would be fire, heat....

I never thought about that, and how hard it would be. You could say blue is cold and red is hot, but what about green or orange or pink or the 100's of other colors.
